The Day of Atonement
As I compose this to you, the sun has set in the rolling hills of Franklin, TN and a new day according to the Hebraic calendar has just begun. This is no ordinary day, it is the Most Holy day in Jewish faith and life across the globe – it is the Day of Atonement. This, of course, is the day when the High Priest would enter in beyond the veil into the Holy of Holies where the very presence of God rested and the Ark of Covenant was placed. Jesus, the only Son of God, our High Priest, has entered in, once and for all time for all peoples, that we by faith may also enter in by the blood of the Lamb. Thanks be to God!
October 1st was Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem Sunday. What a privilege and delight it was to join with Don Finto, leaders in the area and intercessors in Nashville, TN to call on the name of the Lord on behalf of Israel and the Jewish people world wide.
Interestingly enough, my 90 Day Health Sabbatical ended Sunday positioning me in a fresh place of cleansing through the blood of Jesus, in a place of rest and wholeness to start the New Year off right! Only God could have orchestrated all of that. He is the sovereign Lord! How I love Him and His ways.
What Comes Next?
I continue on my regimen of supplements, cleansings, and nutritional applications on a daily basis. My energy levels began to plummet after returning home in August, so I recently began receiving weekly mega doses of vitamin C under the oversight of our physician and friend Dr. Harnish, these are similar to the sessions I received at Oasis of Hope. He and his wife Liz have been true God sends into our lives. These sessions have helped my energy level considerably. I will have scans done the middle of October here in TN to see my progress and then return to the Oasis Center in Mexico for a three month check up in November. So, I will not be able to give you a full and detailed medical progress report until that time.
I have cancelled a couple more trips I was going to do this fall to help my schedule from becoming overwhelming. I do not know how to do this “road stuff” yet though I obviously have many years of experience. I might need to make more changes – time is going to tell. In some ways, I am in a new starting gate and it will take me some time to learn the new required rhythm. This alone is a big transition.
I have other health issues that have not fully responded yet – gastrointestinal difficulties and some other related problems. But hey – I have made a lot of progress towards health and healing. (Did I say God is good yet?)
I am rested and people say I look much better. I am ready in my spirit man to run the race as I am full of revelation. By the grace of God, I have been having anywhere from 2–6 dreams most every night. Some of them have been extraordinary insights into the days in which we live and a call to reassume my own place as a watchman on the walls for such a time as this.
I could honestly still use some more time to seek the Lord and rest in His presence – but I am so grateful for the time of rest, hospitalization and renewal that I have experienced.
Highlights of my Health Sabbatical
The following are a few of the highlights of my 90 Day Health Sabbatical:
- The support of intercession from around the globe from caring people.
- Getting to spend time in the past 3 months with my dear wife of 30 years – Michal Ann Goll – what a sweetheart you are!
- The 25 K for the medical treatment coming in – thank you each and every one!
- Getting to ride my horse, Kenny’s Promise, in our own pasture in Franklin, TN.
- Spending an evening with my prophetic Papa Bob Jones and meeting his new wife Bonnie in NC.
- Time with our kids - Justin, GraceAnn, Tyler and Rachel – you are all so wonderful, unique and fun! You bring joy to my heart!
- The best Women on the Frontlines Conference ever – without me! Ha!
- A staff and team who has grown in leadership and directed the ship called EN with me breathing down their neck only occasionally?? Well, it was test for us each – right? But they did a great job!
A Special Thank You!
Obviously, it cost $25,000 for this first round of treatment. This was covered by the generous contributions of many. Thanks to each of you who have prayed and gave so that I could go to the Oasis of Hope Center.
Others gave so that the operations of EN could continue. Bless the Lord for each of you. (Now do not stop though – we still need your help all through this fall season as I travel less and attempt to turn the corner into some uncharted paths!)
Thanks also goes to our Encounters Staff and our Network Prayer Warriors who have continued to lift me to the Lord over these past four long years. It has been quite a journey Michal Ann and I have been on and we are extremely grateful for each of you. Do not quit yet praying though – keep praying until we get the Final Good Report!
Thank you Jesus and Papa God and the Holy Spirit – indeed you are awesome! Your word is true and it shall prevail over all the enemies thoughts, plans and schemes.

Though the technical 90 Day Health sabbatical has come to a close, we do still need your on going assistance. Other Ministry News!
Michal Ann Goll, Jeffrey Thompson and Chris Poole have given the weekly oversight to Encounters Network in my absence. They have done a marvelous job of leading. Chris Poole has also stepped into the role as our Associate Director and we are so thankful for this.
Michal Ann’s and my co-authored book, Dream Language, came out in June. It has had a slower start in its exposure due to my lack of visibility! So visit our web site to order a copy of this exciting new book! The Dream Language Study Guide to go with the book is also now available as well as the complete series of teachings available on both CD and DVD and our web site.
Michal Ann and I completed the last book in the Women on the Frontlines trilogy – Compassion Acts – and it comes out in November. The book highlights the life of Catherine Booth along with several other champions of the faith! It has turned out to be a gem and will surely touch your heart.
EN is hosting a new class called Worship with the Arts starting this Tuesday night October 3rd for the next 7 Tuesday nights. It is co-hosted by Chris DuPré and me – James W. Goll. It will be a great time of being taught by and impartation from some of the great leaders in worship and the arts in the Nashville area. I hope to see some of you there this Tuesday night at The Factory.
We are also beginning God Encounters Evenings and Vertical Worship each on a Saturday evening every month in the Franklin/Brentwood, TN area. The first God Encounters will be Saturday, October 14th at 7 PM held at the Cornerstone Church of Cool Springs. I will share a prophetic message that night titled "What Time Is It?"

You are such a blessing! Thanks for standing with us once again.
Heavenly Father, I come to you on this Holy Day of Atonement. As a priest and prophet of the Most High God, I present to you this day, these people you have called to walk alongside the ministry of Encounters Network. Release to them the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the glorious knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. Overshadow them with Your loving-kindness and the presence of the Almighty. Draw near to them this day as they draw near to You. Wash us each clean in the blood of Jesus. Cleanse us! Heal us! Empower us by Your great love!
Remember now - let’s keep praying for a complete breakthrough! “And this is the victory that overcomes the world – even our faith!”
