March 15, 2005

Welcome to our Women on the Frontlines Devotional E-mail. For those who are new to our E-mail, our previous devotionals are available for further study and meditation by accessing them through our web site in the archive file at www.MichalAnnGoll.com.

This week we will be hosting our Sounds of Heaven on Earth Conference. We heartily invite you to join us for any remaining sessions- see our website for more information. Last year, this gathering was monumental! It is an opportunity to make another huge installment in the Kingdom of God coming down to our region! Yes, God, do it!

Many Blessings!

Scripture

"Therefore if any person is [in-grafted] in Christ (the Messiah) he is a new creation (a new creature altogether); the old [previous moral and spiritual condition] has been passed away. Behold the fresh and new has come!”

II Corinthians 5:17, Amplified Version

Devotional – "Never Again"

Recently, Jim and our extended staff went to Cincinnati to minister at our dear friends' church, Passion and Fire Worship Center. After they had left, I was going around the house just doing the normal morning duties, getting ready for the day. I went into our bedroom and began raising the blinds. Now, this is a personality thing. I love to have the blinds up, and the sunshine pouring in. Jim, however, likes them to be closed as at times he needs to rest during the day. Well, I guess this was my moment. The blinds could be open for four days and I wanted to take advantage of that time. But as soon as I pulled up the first blind, I got hit by the Holy Spirit and I found myself proclaiming and prophesying into the room, "This is not a sick room! This is not a recovery room! This is not a room of discouragement, or doubt, or fear! This is room of health, healing, and life! This is a room of angelic encounters and divine illumination!"

Wow, as these words left my mouth I felt a spiritual house cleaning going on. With my hands I swept out the darkness and it was as though the sunshine was prophesying the light of God and pushing out every spirit of oppression! I heaved and hoed in the Spirit, knowing that God was moving on our behalf! I turned on Daniel Brymer's newest worship CD and cranked up the volume. Hey, half our household was gone and I was the only one on the main floor. I let that heavenly sound reverberate throughout the whole house! It was awesome! In my heart I heard the phrase "Never Again". It bubbled up and poured out my mouth. I proclaimed that word over and over in that bedroom, "Never again"! I can apply that phrase to several issues, but in this instance it meant "never again" to cancer ever coming close to our family! It is over, never to return!

All weekend long, there was angelic activity all around me. I kept proclaiming that phrase and when I got to church Sunday morning I was charged! At church I was getting hit with the electricity of God! I laughed, jerked, and cried out, "More Jesus, More Jesus"! I had the sense that two opposing armies had been in a battle and that both sides were weary. But, if you're on one side, you don't know the condition of the opposing foe. The fatigue in you calls you to rest. However, I was given a higher view. I saw that both sides were weary, and that now is the time to press in and take advantage of the weariness that the enemy is experiencing by pressing forward and taking the field!

Now, here is the application. We are all battling on various fronts. I want to encourage you today that those old enemies are just that, "old"! God has given us the victory and He is putting a Word in the body of Christ. It is "Never Again"! Today is a new day, and God is giving us new strength, new courage for today! We are not to look back at the weariness of yesterday.

Take a look at the scripture listed above. I checked the Matthew Henry Commentary, and here are a few things it said in regard to this verse.
A thorough change of the heart: For if any man be in Christ, if any man be a Christian indeed, and will approve himself such, he is, or he must be, a new creature, v.17, Some read it "Let him be a new creature." This ought to be the care of all who profess the Christian faith, that they be new creatures; not only that they have a new name, and wear a new livery, but that they have a new heart and new nature. And so great is the change the grace of God makes in the soul, that, as it follows, old things are passed away - old thoughts, old principles, and old practices, are passed away; and all these things must become new. Note; Regenerating grace creates a new world in the soul; all things are new. The renewed man acts from new principles, by new rules, with new ends, and in new company.

We are living in a new world in the soul, and as we are renewed, we act by new rules, with new ends, and we are in new company! We have new companions -a heavenly host about us, and our precious Holy Spirit, who gives us power from on high! Oh yes, today is filled with good news, with the light of God, with strength and encouragement!

So, wherever your battle may be, go to that place, pull up the shades, and let your mouth be filled with the Word of God and prophesy to the darkness to be dispelled! Remember, each new day brings "new rules"! You are not bound by your past! You are freed by the covenant God has made with you through His Son Jesus! You reign with Him over every enemy that has ever come against you.

Many Blessings!

Quote

“The important thing is this: To be able at any moment to sacrifice what we are, for what we could become.”

~Charles Du Bois

Prayer

Most wonderful Jesus, Thank you for gaining the victory for us! Thank you for setting us free! Oh Lord, push back every enemy that has attacked us, by Your brilliance, by Your Glory, and by the authority of Your Holy Name! We rest in You, we trust You, we love You. We receive Your Presence, Your Light, and Your Illumination into every dark place in our lives! Oh yes, You are so good! Fill us with Your strength and courage to move forward and live in the newness of today, letting go of past fears, discouragements and failures. We let it all go now. In Jesus’ Name – Amen

Applications

First of all, soak in His Presence and let Him fill you with the knowledge of His Will. He will direct you as to what specific assignment is here for you. Remember, He is one who battles on our behalf. It's not about us being strong; it's about resting in His strength and believing and trusting that His Word is true! As you worship Him in those places of need, He will come through and give you just what you need- a word in season to break the bondages of the past. He is good and He only does good things! What an awesome God!
