A Sudden Curve in the Road

It has been a four and a half year journey now since I, James, first found out that I had cancer. About a year and a half after that Michal Ann had surgery, removing her colon due to cancerous growths. It has been a long journey already and the fight is not over yet! In fact, it seems to be intensifying right now. Therefore, we need your prayers and support again.

We have hit a sudden and unexpected curve in the road. While Michal Ann’s blood tests a few weeks ago turned out perfectly – she had a routine CT scan done right before leaving for Africa. I got the results of this scan after she had already left for Africa. I had to call her in Mozambique to give her the difficult news that the scans show 4 spots on her liver and one on her lung. Her close team members went right into prayer along with Heidi Baker and her pastors. The Strength of the Lord was imparted to her and the trip was off the charts.

Right after she got back from her momentous trip to Mozambique and South Africa, she had a PET scan run which showed an immediate improvement - two spots on her liver (instead of 3 or 4) and one on her lung. Though this is an improvement, this still requires a quick response. As Michal Ann says, “Things have turned back into the right direction.”

So as you read this Health Update, Michal Ann is already at the Oasis of Hope in Tijuana, Mexico for 12 days of treatment at the cancer hospital there. She flew to San Diego this past Monday night and has already been admitted. Our youngest daughter Rachel is flying today to be with her mom for a few days. Michal Ann will be at Oasis till March 24th – be home for a month – go back for another 5 to 6 days – be home for another month – and then go back again for another 5 to 6 days of treatment.

Yes, we have to raise the funds for this just as we have for my treatments at Oasis in the past. Her total treatment cost for the full 22 days will be approximately $30,000 as this is not covered by our American insurance. We are thankful for this alternative cancer treatment center and all the Christian doctors and nurses who work at Oasis of Hope. Stand in faith with Michal Ann at this time.

An Update on James

As reported in the last Health Update, I have now entered into the next phase of protocol or treatment. I have added a small dosage of chemotherapy in pill form along with my other regimens of Vitamin B-17, Vitamin C therapy and other nutritional supplements. I will return to the Oasis of Hope Hospital for a Booster Program on March 21st and return home on March 27th. Michal Ann and I will be at Oasis together for about 3 or 4 days before she returns. Pray for our family as this is quite an ordeal for all of us to go through. My treatment costs are approximately $15,000 for this next phase.

I have been getting quite tired again and I am not traveling to do public meetings during March and April. Therefore, we have to raise support to cover our entire Encounters Network staff and operations once again for this next ten week period. Though is has been long and arduous, I will continue in this journey until the day that we announce – no more cancer! God is faithful and we will continue to fight in prayer and through every means available to us!

How You Can Pray

Each Health Update found on our website lists how you can be praying for Michal Ann and I. With each new report, it does not do away with past prayer requests as there are over laps and some duplication. The new report simply informs you as to how God has been leading us to pray in recent weeks. We cannot thank you enough for standing in the gap on our behalf!

Right now, I am asking the Lord for the “Gift of Faith.” It seems to be what is required in this season. Pray with me for the Holy Spirit to impart this amazing gift that speaks to mountains to be uprooted and cast into the sea. We declare in the name of Jesus that all cancer cells shall be eradicated and never return again! We unite our faith and declare we are more than conquerors through Christ Jesus!

• We are praying for God’s grace to strengthen our faith to see miracles and healing manifest in our bodies. (Read Zechariah 4:7; Romans 4:20-21; Hebrews 10:23; 1 Corinthians 12:9-10)

• We are forbidding every unhealthy growth and tumor from inhabiting our body. We are decreeing that the radiance of God’s power and glory dissolve every unhealthy growth and strengthen and purify my immune system. (Read Colossians 1:13-14; Habakkuk 3:4; Hebrews 1:3; Job 22:28)

• We are aggressively taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. Spiritual realities supercede earthly realities. (Read 2 Corinthians 10:3-5; Philippians 4:6-9; Proverbs 4:20-23; Psalm 118:17; 1 Peter 2:24)

Continue Until!

Yes, we continue to wage war with God’s word and His prophetic promises spoken concerning us. We will battle until the promise proclaimed and the manifestation brought forth is one and the same! The word I have right now is simple – Continue! Yes, we will continue Until!
