Welcome to our Women on the Frontlines Devotional E-mail. For those of you new to our E-mail, our previous devotionals are available for further study and meditation by accessing them through our web site in the archive file at www.MichalAnnGoll.com.

I'm sitting here at my kitchen table furiously trying to get things accomplished and checked off my "to do" list before I leave with our team to go to Thailand. That's three days from now, the 27th of May. We are all excited about this trip and believe we are really being sent by the Lord to help build a network of prayer for Thailand! How grateful we are to participate with His plans and visions for various parts of the world. (Actually Michal Ann and the Team are now in SE Asia!)

A few days ago, Jim and I were having a meeting with our dear friend and co-laborer, Leon Hoover. As he was sitting on the couch, he began sharing with us a dream experience that just rocked his world. James and I were so touched by his dream that I asked him if he would mind if I used it for the devotional email. As generous as Leon always is, he said, "Yes!" and promptly emailed me a written copy of his experience. It follows here below. I think you will be truly blessed and encouraged to make this a reality in your life. I encourage you to check out these scriptures, meditate on them, and let them move with power on your life and heart!

Many Blessings!

Scripture - Matthew 11:28-30

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. NKJV

Devotional – “The Height At Which You Rest!"

In my dream, I was sleeping on the flat roof of my home in an African village. It was mid morning and the sun was already high. Yet, I was slumbering, resting and not wanting to move from my bed. Even though I knew most everyone else was up had been working for hours. I felt a little sheepish, but I enjoyed my rest none the less.

I looked at the roof top on the house next to mine and saw a little girl beginning to wake up. She was 6 to 7 years old. We made eye contact and I winked at her to let her know I saw someone coming up the ladder on the side of her house. She was happy and pretending to be asleep she put her head back down. When she saw her mother's head pop up over the roof line, she propped up on her elbow and smiled brightly.

With a child's innocence she asked, "Mommy, why do we sleep up here on the roof?"

"Honey," her mom replied, "Don't you know? The height at which you rest reveals the level of authority you have in a region."

Propped up on my elbow I was gazing over at them; I marveled that at my age I had not yet learned that "The height at which you rest reveals the level of authority you have in a region." "Huh, is that why I rest so much?" I wondered.

I arose from my rest and climb down the ladder on the side of the house. At the bottom of the ladder I met a young pastor, his prayers of impartation were so intense and strong that even after waking up, I vibrated inside all day. All day long I thought on the depth of this revelation, "The height at which you rest reveals the level of authority you have in a region." .....other things happened in the dream, but they will wait for another time.

Some thoughts and scripture:

Jesus is not anxious, why should we be? If he is not worried, why should we take on that burden? If he can rest when "all is lost", maybe we can rest also.

Jesus Calms the Storm

Luke 8:22-25

One day Jesus said to his disciples, "Let's go over to the other side of the lake." So they got into a boat and set out. As they sailed, he fell asleep. A squall came down on the lake, so that the boat was being swamped, and they were in great danger.

The disciples went and woke him, saying, "Master, Master, we're going to drown!"

He got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waters; the storm subsided, and all was calm. "Where is your faith?" he asked his disciples.     In fear and amazement they asked one another, "Who is this? He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him."

Do Not Be Anxious

Philippians 4:6,7

The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Do Not Worry

Matthew 6:25-34

Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?

And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Colossians 3:15

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.

Luke 21:14

But make up your mind not to worry beforehand...

Psalm 23

Many Blessings!

Prayer –

Dear Lord, we are so thankful that You are just as you are. You are amazing! Thank you that we can rest in your arms and we don't have to try to be somebody or something; it is you that defines who we are. You blow every measurement and every ruler because YOU are beyond man's measurement! You are awesome! Help us to truly learn to enter into Your rest, in Your goodness. Lord, we call for every mold to broken off us, in the name of Jesus, and every spirit of performance and man-pleasing be broken off in Jesus' name,

Amen.

Be blessed and encouraged this day!
