Update: Michal Ann is Home!

Greetings to Each of You!


     Thank you for your calls of support and your prayers for Michal Ann and our family. I have wanted to get updates out often as I know you want to know what great things God is doing in this situation.

    Well, for starters, she came home on Monday around 6 PM.  (The doctors considering releasing her on Saturday as she was doing so well, but Monday was the day decided on). It was a joy for her to come home - the our dogs, cats and even the horses are thrilled! She is recovering rapidly for which we are grateful. Home is such a great place to be!

     I was able to get a hospital bed put in our bedroom and this is a blessing. Kathy Colbert a dear friend of many years and a former staff member, has come in from Atlanta to be with Michal Ann and us. She is staying with us in our home and is assisting with the care of Michal Ann. This is a big answer to prayer!

     Some of you will understand, that it is very difficult to get rest while in a hospital.  So one of the things that has been happening this week for Michal Ann - is rest! Yes, for sweet sleep and rest!

     Radiation treatments will begin in two weeks on the areas where the growths were removed and also to eradicate the very small growth that remains in the right front of her brain. We do not know yet how many treatments this will require as we have not met with the radiologist.  Her care at Oasis of Hope will go on hold for now but will resume when this round of activity is complete.

     I have needed to curtail my traveling ministry routine for some time now and will not be traveling but as I am heading up the Board of TheCall Nashville I will be very busy for most of June and into July helping prepare for this event.

     Our oldest son Justin, will fly home from California to be with us on June 17th. Mom is especially  looking forward to seeing him. GraceAnn will depart for her university work in Australia on July 2nd.  So life continues in the midst of much chaos!

     The main thing we want to say is "THANK YOU!" Yes, thanks for your prayers, love and concern.  Thanks you Jesus!  You are a dream come true!
