Dreamers' Park – the Dream Comes True!
Compassion Acts Team Completes Mission!

Greetings in Jesus’ great Name!

The task is complete!  Dreamer’s Park is no longer just a dream – now it is a living reality built to the glory of God and in loving memory of Michal Ann Goll. In behalf of all those who gave financially to the Dreamer’s Park Memorial Fund, and all those who have prayed, and all the servants of the Lord who have worked – thank you from the Goll family and from Encounters Network and Compassion Acts.

A huge thank you goes to Mark Roye who has made multiple trips to Mozambique - spending countless hours in the air and on the ground - in order to see this project completed! You are so wonderful Mark!  Thank you GraceAnn for helping co-lead this mission project. I am sure Annie is smiling as she looks down from her heavenly perch! The following overview is prepared by GraceAnn which also includes great photos shot on site in Pemba. I’ve also included a link to view the awesome dedication of Dreamer’s Park by Heidi Baker.

AGAIN – THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP IN HONORING A GREAT WOMAN OF GOD!

In His Love,

James W. Goll

Dreamers’ Park - Every Child Can Dream
~ in memory of Michal Ann Goll ~

May 25th marked the embarkation of the Compassion Acts Dreamers’ Park Build Team. Fourteen different individuals met up in Johannesburg, South Africa from nine different cities. We all went with varying expectations, skill levels, and hopes. However we all went with one common goal - to build Dreamers’ Park in memory of Michal Ann Goll. Some of our team had briefly met her, some had heard her impacting messages, some had never heard her before, and to some of us she was family or might as well have been family. This was a trip of great weight and importance.

Mark Roye, director of Compassion Acts, and I (GraceAnn Goll, administrative assistant/coordinator for CA), pulled our team together and were tremendously blessed with a highly dedicated and Godly team.  We began our mornings at around 5am and got down to the site to begin work by 5:30 and worked each day until 11:30 when we broke for lunch and escaped the heat till the shade came around 1:30 and worked til dusk around 6pm. In 14 days and about 7,000 man hours we finished Michal Ann’s playground!

“Dreamers’ Park - Every child can dream....” now includes a play area with swings, trapeze, a slide and a giant sand box for the toddlers. For the boys 2 rock walls, 2 swing sets, 3 giant slides, a fireman’s pole, a zip line, rope wall, swinging bridge, fort area, a tree house in a cashew tree, and a tire swing. Then for the girls there is now a swing set, picnic table, giant slide, and a rock lined path with flowers and landscaped stairs in garden area.

The entire staff and missionary base at the Iris were incredibly blessed and honored as well by this project. They could not express the extents their gratitude. They saw that this project was something that was going to change lives by teaching children how to build, by teaching children that they are valuable, and by teaching them that they can dream!

Lots of numbers - Our outstanding build team: Claudia Valenta, Cherie Carraro, Jason Aldridge, Pamela Ahern, Janell Lynch, Linda Meyer, Robert Reyes, GraceAnn Goll, Mark Roye, Greg Flenniken, Mike Lynch, Danielle Pierce, Justin Goll and Rita Lynn Moore.

We would like to thank everyone who has been a tremendous help with this project. We would not have been able to complete this project without you. It was a year and a half in the making. We would like to make special mention of John and Margaret Woolletts, John oversees the carpentry school on the Iris base and without him, none of this would have been possible, and his dear wife Margaret who runs the sewing school on Iris base and her wonderful calligraphy. Mike Lynch for being Mark’s right hand man all throughout this project, and Greg Flenniken for acting as our construction overseer and foreman. Thank you to all you who supported this project financially, artistically and prayerfully. And to our wonderful team who gave up two and a half weeks to come and serve in honor of Michal Ann, you are a true blessing. I want to thank you all on behalf of my father, my brother Justin (who was able to be with us and serve on the trip), my brother Tyler and sister Rachel, and Mark Roye - we all appreciate every sacrifice made to honor Michal Ann in such a tremendous way.
