Greetings to Everyone!
Happy New Year! Thank you once again for standing with Michal Ann and I and our Encounters Network staff in 2007. But it is a New Year! So let’s take a bold stand with fresh faith together in 2008. Let’s continue to pray until all cancer cells are eradicated in Jesus Name! Let me give you a couple of updates.
A Holiday Slow Down Time
We were hoping to drive back as a family to Kansas City to see relatives and participate in The Call KC between Christmas and New Year. But we had to make a last minute adjustment and not make the trip as a family.
Michal Ann has been having some difficult reactions to some of the pain medications recently. This has been quite a task to get all of this balanced out. Her feet and legs began to swell up and hurt two weeks before Christmas. This was quite painful and at the time we did not know what was causing it. She could hardly walk for days and she still cannot wear her shoes. But it was finally determined that it was a reaction to one of her medications. So in one way, that was a relief to find out that was all it was.
Adjustments have been made and she is doing better. But we just were not able to make the drive back to Missouri from TN for the holidays. So instead, I simply took time off and we both rested at home. Our two daughters went ahead and drove back to Missouri for a few short days to see family and attend The Call KC. They are now safely back after a good trip.
So – do not stop praying – we still need a major break through. Pray that we find the right balance in the medications. Okay?
The Word of God – Our Prayer Ammunition
Months ago, I told you of a detailed dream where I was given 5 scriptures to prayer over our lives. I felt that we need to go back to the “word of the Lord” and declare these scriptures together at the first of this New Year. So let’s go back to the following verses and agree together as we proclaim these in prayer please! Use these over your own lives as well!
Jeremiah 30:17 – ‘For I will restore you to health and I will heal you of your wounds,’ declares the Lord.
Isaiah54:17 – ‘No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper; and every tongue that accuses you in judgment you will condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their vindication is from me,’ declares the Lord.
Proverbs6:31 – But when a thief is found (caught), he must repay seven fold; He must give all the substance of his house.
Leviticus17:11 – For the life of the flesh is in the blood.
Matthew8:16, 17 – And when evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed; and He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were ill in order that what was spoken through Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, saying, ‘He Himself took our infirmities, and carried away our diseases.’
Mercy Assistance Fund
Yes, I will be prayerfully looking over the calendar for next year to see how I must respond. Since our ministry team is not underwritten by the tithes of a local church, we are dependent upon the Lord’s goodness, the generosity of His people and product sales of our books etc. Our EN finances took a deep plunge in November and December and we are in need once again.
We do need your kind assistance at this time. We have set up a special fund to help with our ministry needs and the other ministries we support. Continue to Pray Until!
Let’s join our faith together and believe for all cancer cells to be eradicated from both of bodies in Jesus Name! We should both have scans done again in a few weeks and we will keep you posted.
