Awakening Appeared

I. THE WINDS ARE COMING!

In early December, I was attempting to fly from Nashville to Long Island, New York via Baltimore to be a part of an Open Heaven Prophetic Conference with revivalist Matt Sorger. In preparations for the conference, the Holy Spirit kept telling me, The winds are coming. I also knew that I was to address the subject of Open Heavens and Angelic Activity at the conference.

Finally I departed from Nashville to fly into Baltimore only to hit severe winds. The plane was literally going topsy turvy as we hit winds of 160 knots and landed in winds of 60 knots. I was in intercession and called forth warrior angels to guide the plane in safely. Eventually we made it fine but the pilot acknowledged they were the most severe winds in which he has ever flown.

All flights into NY and New England were cancelled as intense winds were blowing up and down the north east corridor. They adjusted the conference schedule and I had to stay all night in Baltimore and attempt to fly out the next day. Instead of arriving on Thursday as was my original attempt - I did make it to Long Island by Saturday noontime in time to address the closing session of the Open Heaven Prophetic Conference.

While waiting on the Lord that afternoon, the Holy Spirit kept whispering to me that the word of knowledge would be in operation that night and "watch while in worship" as He was going to show me something important. Interesting I thought. So I went into the meeting knowing the winds had come in the natural and I was anticipating them in the spiritual.

Hebrews 1: 7, 14 Speaks of Angels as Winds

In speaking of the angels he says, "He makes his angels winds, his servants flames of fire." Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation? (NIV)

II. A VISION OF AN ANGEL WHILE IN WORSHIP

Sure enough, while in worship, the Holy Spirit gave me what seemed to me to be an odd assortment of "words of knowledge". Everything from names of people, to healing needs, scriptures that I saw illuminated in the "seer dimension" etc. Then as I continued to quietly write these things down, the atmosphere around me shifted. I could feel a tangible shift in the presence in the room. I looked up and a wind seemed to be blowing right in front of my face.

As I looked up as an angel had just come flying into the auditorium and appeared to hover right in front of me. It stopped in mid flight and just looked at me. It was dressed in a glowing white flowing garment with a gold sash from the right shoulder to the left waist. Words were written on the sash that I could read. In print it stated, "Israel Awakening".

As soon as I read the name of the angel, it disappeared. Yet the presence of divine knowing lingered with me. This was another encounter to me personally and corporately to release the Mordecai anointing for such a time as this. A spirit of adoption seemed to be available from the Lord to help prepare the body of the Messiah to fulfill her call in the Last Days.

    A Confirmation Came

When it came my turn in the evening to minister, I began releasing some of the words of knowledge with some effectiveness. I went on to speak on Open Heavens and Angelic Activity. Then I went back into ministry pulling out my sheet of paper with the various words written on it. The Lord was sweet and His presence undeniable.

One man named Daniel was present just like the Holy Spirit had said. Twelve women named Elizabeth were there just as He had also indicated. I prayed for those people and sought for what was next. Then I shifted to the word about the angel named Israel Awakening. I then turned things over to the host Matt Sorger and he was ecstatic as he too had written down on a piece of paper that an angel had come into the meeting that night with me named Israel Awakening.

The Lord had confirmed His word. I picked back up the baton and called people forth who wanted to be a part of the Esther Company for this generation - those intercessory people who would stand in the gap for God's purposes in Israel and amongst the Jewish people worldwide.

III. ISRAEL AWAKENING -

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

As I have had time to ponder on the appearance and its confirmation that night, I have been left with a gnawing question within me. What did this vision mean - what was the Holy Spirit attempting to convey anyway?

Let me give you three simple points.

1) The Church will Be Awakened

Yes, the church, the body of Christ, will be awakened by the supernatural activity of God to her role in the Last Days. But to be awakened means that we are currently asleep. But the Holy Spirit with angelic activity is being released to arouse this sleeping bride to her rightful place of intercession and cooperation with the Son of God. We shall be awakened concerning the priority of Israel in the Word of God, the heart of God and the move of God. We shall wake up to our responsibility and take our place as watchmen on the walls for Jerusalem's sake (Isaiah 62:6.7).

2) An Awakening to Occur in Israel

Not only shall the body of the Messiah be awakened to her role, but there will be an awakening of unprecedented proportions that shall take place in Israel as a nation. Yes, Israel too shall wake up out of a slumber and realize destiny awaits her. The blinders shall come off of the nation of Israel and she will behold the goodness of the Lord even amidst a time of Jacob's troubles. An awakening will occur in the Land of Israel. Trouble will come but God fearing Jewish and Gentile people will cry out to the One True God. There will be an awakening to the Word of God, the heart of God and a fresh move of God in the Land of Israel.

3) An Awakening to the Jewish People Worldwide

Not only will be there an awakening of the sleeping bride to her role and a corresponding awakening happen in the Land of Israel, but there will be a fresh move of God that will occur amongst the Jewish people worldwide. Like in the days of the Jesus People Movement with its beginning in 1967 when hundreds of Jewish people came to faith In Jesus as their Messiah through signs and wonders, so a generation later - yes, forty years later In 2007, there will be a fresh moving once again amongst the Jewish people across the face of the earth and thousands shall be awakened to faith in the Son of God.

So we welcome the angel named Israel Awakening to do its work among us. We welcome a fresh move of God in the Middle East and we say together, "Wake us up! Do not leave us asleep as we have been!" Send forth the angel of the Lord for such a time as this!
