The Most Recent Medical Report
It has been a long journey but the battle is heating up again. As many of you are aware, I have PET and CT scans done every three months at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville to determine the current condition of the non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma cancer that I have been battling in the second round of activity since December 2004.
In September 2005, the tests showed that things were stable but that cancer remained in a small growth at my left collarbone. There was NO cancer left at that time in the growth behind my stomach. With prayer and health supplements continuing, my anticipation was that there would be NO cancer left at all by December. But the week before Christmas, I was given a difficult medical report.
The cancer has returned to the growth behind my stomach and has increased in the small growth at my collarbone. This is not the Good News I was anticipating! The growths remain approximately the same size at this time. But from various signs I can tell there is new activity!
I will now have scans done again the second week of March. The results of those tests in a few weeks will determine what action will be recommended. I am already aware of the alternatives if the cancer continues to grow – none of which will be easy. If things go that direction – it could require me to be totally out of pocket for weeks. There is NO Way that I believe that this is God’s best for me, my life, family and ministry.

God Encounters...
"Your Medical Report is in Your Bible!"
In November, I was ministering at a Signs and Wonders Conference in another state. While the worship was intense, the Holy Spirit whispered to me, “Your medical report is in your Bible.” I thought that was great and I proceeded to look through the various papers stored away with my Bible. Sure enough, I found my latest medical test results from the hospital residing in my Bible! I was amazed at this as I did not remember stashing it away in the leaf of my Bible.
An electric spirit of faith was present in the entire auditorium as people began to bring prayer requests and place them on the platform. I, in turn, brought my medical report to the front as a prayer request before the Lord. I shared this with one of the leaders of the conference and they said to me, “Yes, your medical report is in your Bible!” It donned on me and I realized more completely what the Holy Spirit was saying, “My Word is your report!” Yes, my final medical report is in my Bible – By His stripes I am healed!
Even though, that experience was in November and the hospital report came out in December – I still believe that God has the final Word on the matter. My medical report is in the Word of God (and so is yours)!
A Christmas Morning Dream
Then on Christmas morning, I was given a wonderful dream. I was the only person in the dream, I was reading a teleprompter like what is used on Television Broadcasts. I heard myself reading from the book of Ephesians. I could see the words as well as hear myself telling the following news.
“And when you have done all, TAKE A STAND!”
I was awakened from the dream knowing what I (we) have to do. It is time to STAND!
I am drawing a line in the sand. Enemy – back off in Jesus name! I am taking a STAND for life! I am taking a STAND for the Word. I am taking a STAND declaring, “The best is yet to come!” Join with me in Jesus name!
Current Prayer and Declaration Strategy
Michal Ann and I and our Encounters Staff and Team are calling for 40 Days of Prayer to Take a Stand. It begins on January 20th – which is the 12th anniversary of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in Toronto, Canada. This special prayer thrust will conclude on March 1st unless the Holy Spirit shows us to extend it further.
We are asking people to add their own application of fasting to these 40 Days of Prayer. Some will do a Daniel’s fast; other’s one day a week, others three days, etc. Our Ministry Team prays and fasts every Thursday – so you might consider joining us on those days. Each believer will be called into sacrifice for the release of God’s power in a different way – just listen and obey! Pray the Word of God and add what the Holy reveals to you.
I want you to fight for my life! I want you to fight for our family. I want you to fight for this ministry. Declare the Word of God with us!
Declare the Word of God
A year ago, the following five scriptures were given to me in a dream to use as prayer ammunition. Let’s go back to these verses. Pray and declare these out loud with us!
Jeremiah 30:17 – ‘For I will restore you to health and I will heal you of your wounds,’ declares the Lord.
Isaiah 54:17 – ‘No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper; and every tongue that accuses you in judgment you will condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their vindication is from me,’ declares the Lord.
Proverbs 6:31 – But when a thief is found (caught), he must repay seven fold; He must give all the substance of his house.
Leviticus 17:11 – For the life of the flesh is in the blood.
Matthew 8:16, 17 – And when evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed; and He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were ill in order that what was spoken through Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, saying, ‘He Himself took our infirmities, and carried away our diseases.’
Batting for the Next Level as a Team!
Some are asking, “What is the Lord saying to me at this time?”
Please understand that this is a personal battle for my life. While wanting to make this very clear again, let me also address this from another perspective. What are we contending for personally, as a family, as a ministry, and on a broader scale, for the body of Christ?
We are battling for the next level!
We must see another level of authority, power, wisdom, and gifting come forth. Come March – we will March forth! It is time for the Jezebel spirit and it’s horde to back off and time for apostolic authority to be exercised. It is time for Kingdom advancement!
Yes, there are days I do not feel well at all. Yes, there are nights when unwanted thoughts bombard my head. But then there is God, the blood of Jesus, His Word and His believing, tenacious people!
Frankly, I need you to enforce the victory of Calvary with us for our entire family, ministry and team. Let us all arise to the next level as a Team in Christ Jesus!
The Financial Side of Things

We did a fair amount of financial trimming this past fall, though. We pulled Tyler and Rachel from their private school and we are now Home Schooling them. Any further changes, will be as radical and difficult as that one. We will do what must be done.
So, as you can tell, we do need continued special financial help for the winter to spring months to meet our ministry and personal needs. We are still catching up from the affects of the cancer from this past year. So – with humility and brokenness, we present to you – believers and friends - our pressing circumstances.
