Well, the Lord has heard our prayers through our Global PrayerStorm efforts. Recently we prayed for the national Israel elections and we are pleased to see that Benjamin Netanyahu has been given authority to form a new coalition government. He has 6 weeks to gather more than 60 members of the Knesset to support him as Prime Minister of Israel, please keep this in your prayers while negotiations take place. This is very important in this hour. Thank you for praying with us. This week we will take on another new important thrust.
At Michal Ann’s funeral in September, our oldest son Justin made a statement that he felt this is the “Justice Generation” and I could not agree more. One of the leaders of this ‘Justice Revolution” is my dear friend Marcus Young. Marcus is a 4th generation missionary into Southeast Asia. He and his dear wife, Alyxius, head up Divine Inheritance and have been family friends of the Goll's for many years. They work a great deal with the rescue of child soldiers in various countries and are launching a new effort called Project AK-47, on FaceBook also.
As I have stated for some time, it is time for us to live the biblical book of James – where our faith is matched by our works. This week, not only do I want us to pray together for the ending of global child soldier oppression, but I encourage you to investigate Divine Inheritance’s program where you give only $7 a month in support to aid in the rescuing and care of these precious children.
Remember our soon approaching Day of Mentoring with R. T. Kendall on Saturday, March 14th from 9 AM – 4:30 PM. You can register online for this practical and impacting time with one of the choice apostolic teachers of our day. Also note that my new book The Coming Israel Awakening is another great resource for you in our global PrayerStorm efforts. In fact, I strongly encourage you to get both the Prayer Storm book and this new release on Israel to assure that our praying with unity. Okay – let’s call forth God’s justice into the earth. Kingdom come! Will be done! Now - in Jesus Name.
The Project: AK-47 Cause...
by Marcus Young
We are writing this as we fly over 20,000 kilometers to Southeast Asia. We will be traveling over the next two weeks, penetrating a very tumultuous region. The nature of our mission is covert.
The goal: to facilitate the rescue of child soldiers and document the continued care of those we have already taken.
As Project: AK-47, our entire reason for being is to save children in Asia from one of the worst possible scenarios for a child: exploitation to be used as a child soldier. Over 100,000 children are carrying machine guns in the armies of Southeast Asia. Instead of walking to school, they march to war. Instead of playing, they train to kill. If we don't intervene, most of these children will be soldiers for at least 7 more years...assuming they survive.
At this point you may be asking what is Project AK-47...Glad you asked. But before we answer, we should probably tell you what a child
soldier is, in case you are not familiar with this horrendous concept. Child
soldiers are boys and girls as young as 4 years old who have been orphaned,
abandoned, kidnapped or deceitfully recruited to serve as soldiers in government
armies, armed resistance forces or drug cartels. In addition to being raised as
trained killers, they are often malnourished, severely overworked and abused
physically, mentally and sexually.
Project: AK-47 is a call to arms in the days when men's and women's hearts often faint. Widespread injustice and the sheer number of children being exploited as child soldiers (over 300,000) seem overwhelming and insurmountable. Many of us feel that we can't sit on the sidelines any longer, but we just don't know which battle to choose or what our place is in the fight.
Project: AK-47 is your opportunity to send a shock wave through the heavy oppression afflicting these child soldiers. This project, implemented by Divine Inheritance, Inc., is not merely an awareness campaign, although awareness is the critical first step. Rescuing child soldiers and caring for them in our secure homes is core to what we do.
We care long-term for the children we rescue, raising them in an environment where they receive food, clothing, safe shelter, excellent education (including University prep and/or life skills) and most importantly... LOVE.
Your $7 a month helps us care for the children we have already rescued and are protecting, and it allows us to rescue even more child soldiers. We have been rescuing as many of these child soldiers as possible. But right now, without more help, we have to turn many child soldiers away. Your $7 can make the difference between life and death for a child soldier.
We believe that children like this are very high on God’s priority list. Project: AK-47 offers very low cost ways to aid in rescuing these child soldiers. Please consider being a part financially for only $7 a month, visit www.ProjectAK-47.com. We do this so that you may begin to discover the blessing that God hides in the “least of these.”
Your voice is also an incredible asset to our rescue efforts…you will be amazed by the profound impact you can have when you speak out for child soldiers in your spheres of influence (friends, family, school, work, government, the arts, etc.).
Project: AK-47 is your call...Your mission...Your fight...Join us.
But the rescue isn’t over once we give the children a new home with us: it takes years and even decades of hard work to see them develop as healthy adults who have overcome extreme adversity to become the moral leaders of an otherwise corrupt society.
Our national staff is made up entirely of locals who pour their lives into these children on a daily basis, caring for their needs and giving them an education that places them in the 99th percentile of their region. We also involve the children in sustainable development projects like a tea plantation and rice mill that teach them agricultural skills and generate income for them.
If you would like to be a part of our team, we are developing a core international task force of dedicated volunteers and advocates who have the drive and ability to carry Project: AK-47 forward. If you feel you fit this description, please email Jeremy Anderson at jeremy@divineinheritance.com . We currently have several functions and levels of involvement available.

How to talk with God about Project: AK-47 over the next few weeks:
- Pray for more people to engage: hard economic times are not our cue to become self-preservationists or escapists; they are seasons to cry out to the “Lord of the Harvest” that he would launch us into heavenly offensives. Oppression increases in difficult times, which means our intervention becomes even more crucial.
- Pray for heavenly protection: this trip has some very dangerous elements in it. The SE Asia region we are going into is heating up for a major conflict. This is news that may not make our media’s headlines, but in heaven every life counts, so it is in God’s newscast of adventure and opportunity.
- Pray for the ability to travel unnoticed, correct timing and Godspeed: we have to cross borders, navigate a multitude of checkpoints, avoid conflict zones, lose spies and informants and generally remain hidden.
- Pray for the children’s ability to share and open up, for artistic cinematography and brilliant photography. We need clear documentation of projects, stories of the children and pictures and video that arrest people’s hearts and crack ajar the door to their minds.
- Pray for favor and wisdom with governments and partners: during this time, we will be negotiating and building some key long-term partnerships, as well as looking for more ways to work with local governments.
- Pray for the power of the Holy Spirit and fresh testimonies of faith: if we don’t go, the story does’t become real to most of the outside world. We need testimonies of Jesus to emerge and challenge the church and to reveal Jesus in the marginalized child.
- Pray that we would give away God’s vast joy and solid encouragement wherever we go.
We are grateful that you are willing to stand with us in our efforts to seek kingdom
justice and mercy for all child soldiers.
