On September 8, 2009 from 7 to 9 p.m., Michael W. Smith, Ricky Skaggs and Don Potter join together with hosts Don Finto, Mickey Robinson and Jerry Bryant for an evening of worship at "A Night to Honor James W. Goll." This special gathering will be held at Belmont Church located at 68 Music Square East in the heart of Music Row in Nashville, Tennessee.
Speaker, teacher, author, and revivalist Dr. James W. Goll will spend extensive time in August in aggressive cancer treatment. With the passing of his wife, Michal Ann from cancer nearly a year ago, James and the family are extended both financially and emotionally. Bills have mounted, and income from the Encounters Network Ministry has also diminished during this time, especially due to James' inability to travel as much coupled with the downturn in the overall economy. We invite friends of James Goll to wage war (and to a WAGE war) through an evening of worship to benefit James and his family.
"This is an evening of worship and honor with the purpose of also receiving an offering from Nashville and Middle Tennessee," said Don Finto, longtime pastor of Belmont Church, and advisor to Encounters Network. "This offering would go specifically for James' personal support, including, of course, the massive medical bills. We would hope to receive funding sufficient to allow James a three-month healing sabbatical."
It is open to the public with no registration or ticket charge. A love offering will be received that evening and designated towards the Mercy Medical Fund of Encounters Network to help James W. Goll and family with the cost of his recent battle with cancer and its various related expenses.
If you are not able to attend but would like to contribute, send checks to Encounters Network, P. O. Box 1653, Franklin, TN 37065 and write on the memo Mercy Medical Fund.
