Update for August 15, 2008

Michal Ann had a chemo treatment this past Monday and on Wednesday her med pack was removed.  She is scheduled for another treatment in two weeks on August 25th.

This past Monday Michal Ann had blood tests done as well and we got the results back today.  Her cancer markers have sky rocketed in the past ten days.

They are now higher than they were even in February when Michal Ann was hospitalized.  They are around 50,000.  So they have doubled in a two week period.  Of course, this is not good news.  She says she is not in pain, but over the last couple of days she has struggled a great deal and her strength has dimished dramatically.

Michal Ann is in some type of sleep state most of the time and two days ago could not call me by name. She called me Justin (our son) three times - that was close. Actually, our son Justin sent me this email after receiving an update from me regarding his mother. I want to share it with you as well:

Hey Dad,

I felt this coming on yesterday (Thursday, Aug. 14th) as I was praying.  We just say no to "relapse" now in the name of Jesus and we call forth for resurrection power.  We command the cancer in her body to leave now, for the cells of her body to be transformed by light.

Yes, we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves but in God who raises the dead, who delivered us from so great a death, and does deliver us; in whom we trust that we will still deliver us...  -2 Corinthians 1:9-10

The only passage that contains the word "cancer" in the NKJV begins with these words: "Remember that Jesus Christ, of the seed of David, was raised from the dead according to my gospel...  For if we died in Him, we will also live with Him.  If we endure, we shall also reign with him..."  It goes on to say that Hymenaeus and Philetus preached that "the resurrection is already past; and they overthrow the faith of some," and their message spreads "like cancer."

So we say to mom's body now, rise up in the power of the resurrection.  The resurrection is not passed.  It is now.  We even break the mental power of the word "cancer" now in the name of Jesus and proclaim life and hope and skies of possibilities to crack open where ceilings once were.  We bind cancer in the name of Jesus and in the power of his blood and resurrected body.

I am just giving you a current update on the state of this battle.  Michal Ann had a doctor’s appointment today at 1 PM. They have decided to admit her to the hospital once again and are going to administer fluids and do a brain scan to see if there is any more in the natural that can be done.

In the mean time, I am just pushing the TRUST IN THE LORD button right now.  I know we have done all that we can.  Maybe she will rally again.  She is one resilient person for sure.  As Winston Churchill stated, "Never Give Up!" Thanks for pressing in with us!
