There are still registrations available onsite for this conference, so we welcome you to come join us.
This is a great time of opportunity to press into more of Him!!!

I Must Have More of Jesus!
I’ve been on a journey of amazing breadth over the past few years. I’ve determined in my heart that I must have more of Jesus! I must have more of Jesus. Now, I've loved Him ever since I can remember but there has been a wooing and a drawing, deeper and deeper into His heart. This wooing is much more personal, requiring more of me. I’m learning that if I want more of Him, I must give Him more of me. Sounds so simple, so basic, but the ramifications run a course through the deepest parts of my destiny in this life. I must learn to walk, to talk, to live as Jesus did, as He does today. I’m on a journey learning the ways of God.
Recently, I found myself sitting in a Mexican restaurant in Bangkok, Thailand. The young ladies working there were wearing cowboy hats, cowboy boots, and western wear. How funny to see cowboy outfits in Bangkok, I thought. I’d been in Thailand for a couple of weeks, eating dishes of which I could only guess the ingredients and always being given the challenge of eating with chopsticks. Here I was in this restaurant letting my imagination run, thinking of eating something I might actually know what it was; I was so ready to have something familiar sitting in front of me.
My friends and I were having a delightful conversation. We’d been on a hectic schedule of prayer meetings, traveling from place to place, sleeping in different hotels and many, many meetings. This was a place of reprieve, of rest, and then it happened. My eyes glanced across the room to the store front glass window, and saw someone standing there. He was a young man. He was holding a sign and he had several little toys dangling on fine strings all around him. I looked closer. The sign said that this man was deaf, and he had woven these little toys (crickets) out of bits of bamboo, and was selling them for 20 baht (approximately 50 cents per piece) so he could buy food. What a simple young man, so basic and needy. But he didn’t look like he was begging! He was standing upright, showing no emotion, not trying to “sell” me anything. There were no looks of pleading eyes, no gestures trying to gain my attention. He was merely standing quietly, a human being, upright in his heart.
I hope I never forget the look in that young man’s eyes. We never exchanged a word but our hearts touched that day as we looked into each other’s souls. I gave him something that day much more than the 20 baht. I gave him my promise to do all I can do with my life to make a difference in his life and others like him. He gave me something I needed. His life touched me and that little cricket is one of my most prized treasures that I brought back from that beautiful land. Do you want to know what he gave me? He gave me the privilege of touching his life and making a difference. He showed me that you don’t have to be anybody big or important or famous, you just have to be available. You have to be willing to engage in the journey, to walk the path that Jesus walks every day. This is the journey of learning the ways of God.
Heidi Baker encourages people to come sit with the poor in spirit because if you do you will receive such a treasure. She is one who doesn’t just talk about this, she lives the principle in the heat and the constant needs of helping scores of thousands of people. She has become a General because a long time ago she looked into someone’s eyes and received a call from God to make a difference, to stop for the one.
Lee Grady has become a General as he has engaged with all his heart to undo the centuries of teaching from the Church that have maimed, imprisoned and killed countless women across the ages. Somewhere in the earlier days of his life he opened his eyes, wanting more of Jesus, and Jesus gave him a heart for women to be received in the Kingdom of God with full inheritance, full blessing and full empowerment.
In a couple of days we will gather together for our annual Women on the Frontlines Conference in Hamilton, Ohio. This year’s theme is Gathering the War Generals. I truly believe this is exactly what is going to happen. My spirit is so ready to engage and join forces together. I made a promise that I intend to keep - to do all I can with my life to make a difference other's lives. That’s how generals are made. Generals (men and women) must be eager to engage in the battle knowing it is the heart of the Father. The battle must be fought and it must be won. I hear the sound of horses hooves striking the ground, eager to get to the battle. It is the sound of war; it is the sound of victory for the battle is the Lord's!
My questions to you are, "Do you want more of Jesus? Is your heart engaged?" Come along with me and a whole company of women and men who are determined to learn to know the ways of God and who have each made promises they are determined and resolute to keep!
Many, many blessings to you –
Blessed are the poor in spirit . . ..
