A Touch of Heaven on Earth

The Oasis of Hope Alternative

I was one happy person a little over a week ago when I was released after 18 days of treatment at the Oasis of Hope Hospital in Tijuana, Mexico. I was elated and so exuberant because I literally felt so much better. I came physically depleted but I left filled with energy and renewed hope. I literally left feeling the best I have in months.

The Oasis of Hope is a piece of heaven on earth. This group of doctors and nurses love the Lord Jesus Christ and are committed to care of each patient in a personal manner. It is exemplary! It is such a different atmosphere than any other medical facility I have ever seen. It is a celebration of life. Not only is the alternative approach of medicine refreshing and enormously beneficial, the whole campus is filled with a Kingdom understanding!

In the 18 days there – I had a complete physical exam with 2 wellness profiles, did 12 o-zone autohemotherapy treatments, 17 shark cartilage enemas, 8 chamomile enemas, 18 applications of Kemdalin or B-17, 17 doses of melatonin, Vitamin C therapy, chelation solutions, enzyme protocol, daily visits by the medical staff, etc. I was taught classes on nutrition, food preparation, laughter therapy and good mental health. It was thorough. I did feel like a “pin cushion” with all the IV’s and various treatments, but I could bear it because I knew that I was getting better!

So rejoice with me that the Lord has used this center to restore my health, renew my hope and teach me valuable lessons in life. I will remain on their regimen of supplements, cleansings, and nutritional applications on a daily basis. I will have scans done in a couple of months here in TN to see my progress and then return to the Oasis for a three month check up. I can give you a full and detailed medical progress report at that time.

Highlights of my Time at Oasis

The following are a few of the personal highlights of my time at this marvelous cancer treatment center.

  • Dr. Alvarez – my personal doctor – who was so kind and always took special time to see how I was really doing.
  • Tomas – the technician who ran the o-zone lab - he worshipped all the time! He created an atmosphere of the eternal as he sang in Spanish and English to Jesus all day long!
  • On site spirit filled missionaries who loved on you, prayed for you, and answered all your crazy questions.
  • Dear Shari – our laughter therapy instructor. Shari is a charismatic Lutheran and has this happy, contagious attitude and laugh. She is a light of Jesus in many people’s lives.
  • Three people gave their hearts of Jesus while I was there at the Oasis!
  • Seeing miracles unfold before your eyes as people who came in wheel chairs would be running on the beach only after being there for a few days! PTL!
  • Dr. Francisco Contreras – the brilliant and kind man of God who leads this center forward into the healing purposes of God.
  • Meeting and eating everyday with the patients from Japan, England, Germany, Denmark, Scotland, Canada, the United States, Mexico, Italy and other lands.
  • Ministering to the top leaders of Oasis behind the scenes giving them a glimpse into their healing future in Christ Jesus.

A Special Thank You!

Obviously, it cost approximately $25,000 for this first round of treatment. This was not covered by my stateside insurance. But it was covered by caring and loving people like you. Thanks to each of you who have prayed and given so that I could go.

A special thank you goes to Mark and Paula Rodgers and their business for chairing the effort to raise the funds for me to get there! Blessings to each of you!

Thanks goes to our Encounters Staff and Network Prayer Warriors who have continued to lift me to the Lord over these past four years. It has been a long journey and Michal Ann and I are extremely grateful for each of you. Do not quit yet though – keep praying until we get the Final Good Report!

A special thanks goes to all the people who have given offerings to help the ministry of EN to continue. Yes, I still have a ways to go on my 90 Day Sabbatical – so your help is still vitally needed. Thanks for sustaining us thus far!

Wow! What a great wife I have. Michal Ann is a true champion of faith, hope and love. When we married 30 years ago, I had no idea how much I would need her! Thanks Michal Ann, Justin, GraceAnn, Tyler and Rachel for standing right beside me! I love you!

Thank you Jesus and Papa God and the Holy Spirit – indeed you are awesome!

Other Ministry News!

Michal Ann Goll, Jeffrey Thompson and Chris Poole give the weekly oversight to Encounters Network in my absence. They are doing a great job of leading. I am so grateful to have such a dedicated team to work with.

Michal Ann’s and my co-authored book, Dream Language, just came out in June and it is great! Click here to order a copy of this new exciting book! A new Study Guide to go with the book will be out very soon. We also have the complete series of teachings available on both CD on our web site.

Our yearly Women on the Frontlines Conference this past August 3 – 5th in Cincinnati, Ohio was outrageous! This year’s theme was Gathering the War Generals! Heidi Baker, Lee Grady, Heather Clark, Shirley Sustar and Shelvi Gilmore along with Michal Ann and others were fabulous. We encourage you to purchase the CD’s of the conference teachings (these are offered in the right hand column). Go Team Go!

Michal Ann is furiously working on the final details of her last book in the Women on the Frontlines trilogy – Compassion Acts. The book is projected to come out in November and highlights the life of Catherine Booth along with several other champions of the faith! Pray for her and her team as she works to complete this project.

EN will host a new class called Worship with the Arts this October and November on Tuesday nights. It will be co-hosted by Chris DuPré and me – James W. Goll. It will be a great time of teaching and impartation from some of the great worship leaders. Watch the web site for more details.

So thanks for standing with us as we press onward into the upward call in Christ Jesus!

Let’s keep praying for a complete breakthrough! “And this is the victory that overcomes the world – even our faith!”
