In our Global Prayer Storm this week, let us each find an application of demonstrating our faith. Let us be like Jesus and put the towel of Servanthood upon our arm. Let us love freely. Let us serve expecting nothing in return. Let us give cups of water in Christ name. It is an honor to prayer – but let’s put feet to our prayers this week and be prayer in action in Jesus great name! Praying for our First Nation’s People
Then He poured water into the basin, and began to wash the disciples’ feet and to wipe them with the towel with which He was girded. So He came to Simon Peter. He said to Him, “Lord, do You wash my feet?” Jesus answered and said to him, “What I do you do not realize now, but you will understand hereafter.” Peter said to Him, “Never shall You wash my feet!” Jesus answered him, “If I do not wash you, you have no part with Me.” Simon Peter said to Him, “Lord then wash not only my feet, but also my hands and my head,” Jesus said to him, “He who has bathed needs only to wash his feet, but is completely clean; and you are clean, but not all of you.” For He knew the one who was betraying Him; for this reason He said, “Not all of you are clean.” So when He had washed their feet, and taken His garments and reclined at the table again, He said to them, “Do you know what I have done to you? You call Me Teacher and Lord; and you are right, for so I am. If I then, the Lord and the Teacher, washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. For I have you an example that you also should do as I did to you. Truly, truly, I say to you, a slave is not greater than his master, nor is one who is sent greater than the one who sent him. If you know these things, you are blessed if you do them.” (John 13: 5 - 17 NASV)
At the end of April each year, Encounters Network and Compassion Acts gives our support to the National Day of Prayer for the Cherokee. This is a redemptive act we do knowing the Trail of Tears is traced through the entire state of TN.Clik on this link for a short history on the trail of tears http://www.cherokee.org/Culture/History/TOT/Cat/Default.aspx. This is our part of reversing the curse of the past and writing new history before God and man. This is an act of Identification in Intercession.
We are there to serve our First Nation’s People – in this situation the Cherokee Nation. We are to be and do as our Web Cast this week states – The Glory of Servanthood. We will join our prayers with their prayers, do a food and book distribution plus host a Holy Smoke Bar-B-Que in their honor. This is their event and we will be present in the Spirit of Christ to hold up their hands! Click on following link to see maps of the Cherokee Nation: http://cherokeehistory.com/map1.html. You may also contribute financially towards this yearly outreach to help us honor and serve these precious people. We spend thousands of dollars each year on this project so any and all assistance is greatly appreciated! We know that Michal Ann will be looking on from her heavenly perch and smiling as we continue this great work. But we do this in memory of Jesus! He is the author and the finisher of our faith. He is the one in whose footsteps we each must learn to walk.
Blessings to Each of You! James W. Goll, Mark Roye, Mark Rodger and Team If the ministry of James W. Goll and Team has blessed you, please consider giving a financial contribution so that we may continue to serve you and others. Checks can be made out to Encounters Network and sent to our office address or contributions may be made on line as well. Gifts are tax-deductible as allowed by law and a receipt for your donation will be mailed to you. >>Click Here<< for Web Donations to the General fund. >>Click Here<< for more information on this event.
