A lot has happened in the past week...

Okay - I have a lot to share with you. A lot has happened in the past week since we sent out the last Health Update on Michal Ann. If you do not know – Michal Ann was admitted to the hospital a week ago on Friday. Today she will be transferred to a Rehabilitation Center in the Cool Springs area of Franklin, TN – within 25 minutes of where we live. Hopefully and prayerfully she will be able to come home soon. I want to share some of the events that have taken place over the last few weeks in Michal Ann's and our families lives. Please bear with me as it is easier for me to do this in the form of a list.

But before I do that – let me say thank you again for all your love and support – there have been a marvelous people who walked with us through the valley of the shadow... You are a blessing to our family! Please keep the prayers going before the throne, seeking the provision of healing and financial blessing.

1) Michal Ann had an MRI on Monday. The results on Tuesday showed she had a blood vessel that was leaking blood into her brain and that her brain was also swollen. This is why she has been experiencing confusion and disorientation.

2) Her cancer markers have gone down from 42,000 in February to 9,800 which is amazing. That is a 75% decrease which is Great News!

3) They began to administer steroids to reduce the swelling and have administered blood plasma and vitamin K to help the leak to stop bleeding. They put her on nutrients and things through her IV port because she is getting weaker.

4) They did another MRI on her head on Tuesday; the doctor reviewed the results on Wednesday and it showed that the bleeding in the brain had stopped. This is Good News. But she is still terribly disoriented, confused and weak. She is now in physical therapy also, this too is good.

5) On Thursday - I found that the insurance is only (so far) going to allow Michal Ann to remain in the hospital till Friday (today). So a wonderful social worker worked with me to try to find a rehab unit with physical therapy that the insurance would accept and allow her to get moved on Friday.

6) An opening over night (Thursday to Friday) just occurred in the top facility in the area of Cool Springs. I fill out papers on this today and Michal Ann will be moved to the new rehab unit this afternoon (Friday). I have no idea how long she will be in there or how long the insurance will pay for this.

7) I had to cancel my flight out for Friday am for Dallas to speak at Beth Alves' Extreme Makover Conference. I will leave Saturday am and come back from Dallas on Monday after closing out the conference on Saturday afternoon. Then I will speak at James Avenue Church on Sunday AM and PM. This gives me today to work with the doctor, social worker, the insurance, etc. and to get Michal Ann transferred to the care unit.

8) Both EN and the Goll household personally are in some need financially due to the additional medical expenses. So pray into this with us – we need a relief valve to go off!

Okay – always remember, our God reigns! I declare it over you and over Michal Ann. It has been one long and hard week – but we praise the Lord anyway. God reigns – let the heavens and the earth rejoice.

Blessings to Each of You!
