As I think back on my travel experiences, I always try to reflect on what were some of the major things that impacted my life. The first thing I think of is the power of Love. We did many different types of outreaches and we saw God do some incredible things. Here are a few testimonies of the power of love.
Encounters of Love!
We went to the HIV/TB clinic where basically people die due to lack of treatment. We saw a man that was knocking on death’s door and yet God powerfully touched him and healed him. One week he could not drink or eat anything and the next week when we saw him, he was able to drink and eat and had even put on weight. He told us that he was no longer going to follow after Buddha, but after Jesus Christ. How Awesome!
Another outreach was to the garbage dumps of Poi Pet where 15 families live and work and many came to know Jesus. God healed people’s bodies and broken, hopeless hearts. One of the team members got his guitar out and begin to play music and the children that lived there began to dance, sing and joy filled the smoke filled dump. Heaven came down and invaded earth.
Our team also went to local Brothel’s where we were able to talk to young ladies, 18-22 years of age and tell of the unconditional love of Jesus. After two outreaches there just about all the girls had given their hearts to Jesus. Each one of them had a dream of doing something else other than working there. It was just a job. Again, I know it sounds so simple, but the power of love manifested itself so strong you could see it melt away the walls of shame off these precious girls. They felt the true love of their Father.
We also went to three villages and saw God move to touch the hearts of children. We shared the simple gospel of God’s love and more than 100 children gave their hearts to Jesus. We played games with them and you could feel them soaking up the attention and love from us. Even though we spoke different languages, love is a language everyone can understand.
You see the power of God’s love is so powerful. It can communicate even when there is a language barrier. Our faith is demonstrated thru the love of God. As we shared God’s love we can see the Kingdom of God live and grow.
Dreamer’s Park Cambodia Preparations
Another awesome thing we were able to accomplish was the building of the shelter that will shade the area where we are building the Dreamer’s Park playground. This playground built on the campus of Safe Haven will be the one of a kind in the city of Poi Pet. We were also able to purchase the heavy post and have it set in the ground so we can start building as soon as our team hits the ground in May. This is an awesome project that will provide a safe play area for the children that attend safe haven school as well as the 40 children that live there. Those that live there call Safe Haven home after being rescued from different forms of neglect or abuse.
We have not yet reached out goal of $25,000 for the project. At the writing of this update, we still need $15,000 to create this awesome place for the children of Poi Pet. If you would like to contribute toward this project, click here to give via our secure site. You can also mail your gifts to: Compassion Acts | PO Box 1653 | Franklin, Tennessee 38065, or simply call 1-877-200-1604 to give a designated gift.
We still have available space for those that would like to go and be apart of our build team for Dreamer’s Park. The dates for trip are May 6th-20th. Team members are still needed. You can make a difference! Michal Ann used to say, “Just Do It!” You still have time to request an application packet and begin the process to go with us on the trip. You can request a packet by e-mailing us at CompassionActs@gmail.com. It will be an awesome trip.

Our team at Compassion Acts is so grateful for all who pray and give towards the efforts we make to share the love and compassion of God to those in need all over the world. You support is advancing the Kingdom of God. It is making a difference in the lives of children, women and men who need hope to become who God has created them to be. Thank you for caring and giving!
