From the Desk of James W. Goll and Mark Roye,
I have just returned from an eventful trip to Seoul, South Korea ministering at two local churches and at the annual HIM/WLI Korea Conference. It was an honor to be there. I have posted pictures and such on Facebook from my time there. The supernatural culture of the Kingdom of God flowed and it was just outstanding! I did an entire three-part series on the life of Elijah and Elisha.
I also visited Dr. Cho's Prayer Mountain and did some video taping there that I will share on my February 20th live Prayer Storm Webinar. Remember, we can now accept 500 registrants for our first Prayer Storm webinar that is approaching quickly – January 31st at 8 PM CST. There is no cost, but registration is required to participate. Click here now or on the graphic below for more information and registration!
Mark Roye, Director of Compassion Acts and Blood 'n Fire San Antonio, has just returned from a tremendous scouting trip to Cambodia. Our goal is to build our second Dreamer's Park in Cambodia this year. Mark will give you details on his life-altering trip. I am grateful that through alliances and relationships – with people such as you – that His Kingdom does move forward – one step at a time!
We do need your assistance in order to build the next Dreamer's Park. We also need new partners for Compassion Acts. We only have about five monthly sponsors at present – and the Lord knows we need something more like 500 to accomplish the vision of this ministry! So please consider us in your prayers, giving, and relational support. You will love this month's Compassion Acts MP3 message by Cindy Jacobs entitled "Compassionate Healers". It is brilliant! We send these tools free to you as tokens to say “Thank you for standing with us” and the combined ministries of Encounters Network • Prayer Storm • Compassion Acts!
Advancing the Kingdom!

January Compassion Acts Update
God's Heart for Cambodia
By Mark Roye
At the writing of this update my good friend Mike Lynch and myself are returning home from our tour of Cambodia and Thailand. I can honestly say that I will never be the same. I have traveled all over the world and have seen and felt the heart of God in amazing ways. Our visit to Poi Pet, Cambodia is now added to one of the greatest places where I see God's plans to do some great things.
|
Over 13 years ago, my wife Susie and I started working in the inner city of San Antonio, Texas by planting a ministry call Blood 'n Fire. It is focused on building a Biblical community of caring loving people that love God and love others. From the start, James and Michael Ann Goll were a part of investing in us, and thus, in our community. They provided encouragement, love and a safe place for us to discover our destiny in God. I had the privilege to travel the world with Michael Ann, and with teams to discover so many places where the love of God was needed. She was a person that always believed in me and always let me BE me. She showed love unconditionally, she accepted everyone, and always could see a little of God's purpose in every person. I was honored to lead a team to Pemba, Mozambique to build a playground we called Dreamer's Park. It was a huge project that required much from so many to see it become a reality. But we did it! It was built on the base of Iris Ministries, led by Heidi and Rolland Baker. It was built for children for fun and to bring them hope for a better day.
Dreamer's Park Cambodia
The trip we are returning from today was taken so we could set up our next trip to build Dreamer's Park - Cambodia. Through the established ministry relationship of James Goll with Patricia King, we have partnered with Cambodia Hope Organization (CHO), and will be building the playground on the land where their school and safe houses are located. The school has 135 children from local villages as well as those who live on the property who have been rescued from child trafficking. It is an amazing place to build a playground for children to enjoy. We will build a towering structure with slides, swings, climbing walls and other things that will provide great fun for the school and local villages. We will also build a basketball court and swing sets located close to the safe houses for the young girls and boys who live on campus. It is going to be an awesome project that will show the love of God in a tangible manner. We build it to honor God and to honor the memory of Michael Ann Goll and her love for children at risk around the world.
This area of Cambodia, called Poi Pet It is a place that has been overlooked by tourists for years. It is a border city with Thailand and over 10,000 people a day pass through the border. Many are tourists but most are day laborers going to Thailand for work. They hope to make $2-$3 per day so they can feed their families. It's also an area where 80% of children trafficked for sex trade and forced labor come from. They come from Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos. Many children are given to a man by their parents who think they are offering their children the promise of a good life and job as housekeepers – but the man is not who he says he is. He is one that will transport them in trunks or by foot to Thailand to be abused and sold for the pleasure of men and women alike, but mostly men.
I paint this gritty, dark picture of reality in Poi Pet, Cambodia to show you how bright the light can shine when we do something in the name of Jesus. I have much more I will share, but I think you get the picture. We can make a difference for the Kingdom. CHO is a trusted organization with a rich history of rescuing, restoring and empowering children. They are Kingdom builders and we are honored to work with them.
So here's what you can do to share God's love in Poi Pet, Cambodia:
- You can Pray – as we move into this new area of the world, we need your prayers. Pray for wisdom and protection for our leadership team, for provision for Dreamer's Park and the running of the ministry of Compassion Acts, and pray for the right team to build Dreamer's Park - Cambodia.
- You Can Give – We are asking you to give towards the building of Dreamer's Park. Our budget for this project is $20,000 for building materials, playground equipment, and other expenses involved in the building process. You can go to our website at www.compassionacts.com and give securely online or you can send donations by mail at our posted address on our website.
- You Can Go – Would you please pray about going with us to build Dreamer's Park - Cambodia? We are praying for a team of 25 men and women to go and be a part of the building team. We will be posting all the specific details on the trip by February 1st. This would also be a great trip for college/young adults to participate in and see an amazing part of the world. We will assemble an application packet and e-mail it to those who are interested. Please e-mail us at: info@encountersnetwork.com, and request an application for the Cambodia trip.
Thank you for caring and giving to the cause of the poor and for those who have no choices.

Compassionate Healers
With James Goll and Cindy Jacobs
|
This week in our Global Prayer Storm, we are going to pray into a great theme. We want to see the power of God be joined with the love of God. My dear friend and mentor of years, Mahesh Chavda, taught me years ago that Only Love Can Make a Miracle! So this week, we are calling forth Compassionate Healers. Pray for yourself, for your pastor, for the leaders of your church and ministry. Pray to the Lord of the Harvest to send forth COMPASSIONATE HEALERS for the testimony of Jesus!
To complement this theme, we are bringing you a great impacting message by a dear General in the Army of God – Cindy Jacobs. Her message on "Compassionate Healers" at our recent Fire on the Altar Conference in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, was life changing and filled with the mercy, love and the power of Jesus. So listen to the free MP3 message and it will inspire you in your personal prayer time with "the hour that changes the world!".
We are praying for revival in the Church around the world. We are calling forth the greatest youth awakening the world has ever seen! We will continue to intercede for Israel and the Middle East and we call forth for crisis intervention for such a time as this.
You know one of the best ways to do all of that? Pray for Compassionate Healers to be released around the globe! Let Jesus be glorified and magnified in all we do and all we speak - for such a time as this.

4 CD Message Set – $20 or 4 MP3 Message Set – $12
Leviticus 6 tells us, "that the fire is to be continually burning on the altar and to never go out." Based out of this scripture, great historical prayer movements have arisen in the earth. James has picked up this baton and called for a Prayer Storm to counter act the storms of life.
In this 4 message series, taken from the Fire on the Altar Prayer Storm Convocation in November 2011, 4 international leaders joined their voices together to lift a cry for intervention. Join Cindy Jacobs of Generals International, Don Finto of the Caleb Company, Faytene Grasseschi of The Cry and James W. Goll of Encounters Network in their efforts to release and restore the Global Moravian Lampstand. Listen and be inspired to lift your own cry of intercession to the Lord.
