From the Desk of James W. Goll,
What a great time of the year! Mark Roye and I trust that those of you in the United States had a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration. The James Goll family had a special time of worship and prayer in our home in Franklin, Tennessee on Thanksgiving evening and it was such a joy! We committed our lives to the Lord afresh and called forth His purposes for the New Year. His presence was among us and we wept and laughed together.
This week is our monthly Compassion Acts presentation. Mark Roye brings us a great message on Thankfulness Brings Freedom along with our Holiday Compassion emphasis. Would you give $20 so that those less fortunate could sense the joy of Jesus at Christmas? We are partnering with Blood ‘n Fire San Antonio, Texas this holiday season. Your partnership would be greatly appreciated!
We are also going to pray for The Call Global held in Long Beach, California joining Lou Engle and Cindy Jacobs for this strategic missions outreach. What a blessing! Thanks to all of you who partner with us each week in our Global Prayer Storm efforts. As always, make this Spirit-led and Spirit-empowered worship and prayer and adapt this for your city and nation.
Our Holiday Resource Special continues for the month of December – BUNDLES OF JOY. Our “discounted bundles” are currently marked down an additional $5 off and make great gifts as a bundle or broken down as individual gifts. Always remember, Jesus is the reason for the season.
In Jesus, We Make a Great Team!

Thankfulness Brings Freedom
Compassion Acts Update – Holiday Edition
|
I hope that you have enjoyed a great Thanksgiving with all your family this past week. The Holiday season in getting in full swing with all its bustle. I love this time of the year because people think about what they are thankful for. It is a time where we have the chance to remind ourselves of all that we have to be thankful.
We have much to be thankful for - family, health and opportunity. Thankfulness is a powerful thing in our daily lives. To the degree that we are thankful we show our love for God, life and our fellow man. It gives us a perspective of life that ungratefulness does not. When we are ungrateful we forget where we come from. It is a perspective that gives us a view of a glass half-empty instead of one half-full. If we focus on what we don’t have, we give in to ungratefulness.
When we are thankful, it gives us hope for the future.

Thankfulness Brings Freedom
Acts 16:22-29
Paul and Silas Imprisoned
"The crowd rose up together against them, and the chief magistrates tore their robes off them and proceeded to order them to be beaten with rods. 23 When they had struck them with many blows, they threw them into prison, commanding the jailer to guard them securely; 24 and he, having received such a command, threw them into the inner prison and fastened their feet in the stocks." |
"But about midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns of praise to God, and the prisoners were listening to them; 26 and suddenly there came a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison house were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were unfastened."
In this story we find two followers of Jesus named Paul and Silas. They hade been put in prison for their belief in Jesus and for telling people what He could do in their lives. After the people rose up against them, they were thrown in Jail. Circumstances didn’t look good. After they were beaten, they were put in the worst part of the jail. Around midnight, Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns of praise. All of a sudden the jail began to shake because of an earthquake. The foundations of the place of their imprisonment were shaken, the doors opened up, and the chains fell off the prisoners.
There are times when we feel imprisoned by our circumstances and think that there is no way out, but I am here to tell you that things can be different. When we involve God in our lives, He can change things in a moment. What changed things for Paul and Silas? Prayer and praise…
I Thess. 5:16-18“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks; for this God’s will in Christ Jesus.”
We must learn to give thanks in both the bad and good times.
Romans 8:28 – “And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.”
If you are one who is seeking to live the way God wants you to live, He will make both good and bad things seem to all work out. Who we are in life is determined by 10% of what happens to you and 90% on how you respond to those good and bad things. Thankfulness gets the attention of God in both good and bad times. It gives us hope for the future, no matter what has happened.
Thankfulness Brings Healing
Luke 17:12-17 – "As He entered a village, ten leprous men who stood at a distance met Him; 13 and they raised their voices, saying, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!” 14 When He saw them, He said to them, 'Go and show yourselves to the priests.' And as they were going, they were cleansed. Now one of them, when he saw that he had been healed, turned back, glorifying God with a loud voice, and he fell on his face at His feet, giving thanks to Him. And he was a Samaritan. Then Jesus answered and said, 'Were there not ten cleansed? But the nine—where are they?'"
Here is another story – this one is about ten lepers that met Jesus. They were people who were the outcasts of society. They could not be around their families or friends because their disease was contagious. At first they stood at a distance from Jesus, but then raised their voices asking for Jesus to have mercy on them. Jesus saw them and told them to go and show themselves to the priest. As they were en route to show themselves to the priest, they were cleansed.
Only one of them who were healed came back to Jesus to thank Him. Jesus asked about the other nine lepers and where they were. As a result, Jesus said, “Rise and go your way. Your faith has made you well”. The scripture does not tell us what happened to the other nine lepers, but we do know the one that gave thanks, was healed. It was his heart of thankfulness that brought healing to his body.
Let’s be thankful today for all the blessings of God. He has blessed us so much!
Gratefully!

Monthly Ministry Highlight
|

|
Each month we desire to highlight a ministry that operates with acts of compassion to help others. This month we want to present an opportunity for you to sponsor and bless the children in the inner city of San Antonio, Texas. Blood ‘n Fire has worked for 12 years in their community to bring the love and compassion of God to those in need. Their “Christmas Bless a Child” program sponsors 200 children with a Christmas gift. Each child gets to ask for a gift up to $20. Here is how you can help.
BLESS A CHILD this Christmas Season!
This year we hope to bless every child in our Blood ‘n Fire community with a gift from their “Wish List!” Soon we will sit down with each child and help them make a wish list, with the goal of giving them one of the items from their list for Christmas! You can help out by adopting one or more of these children and shopping for their gift, and returning it to us by December 12th. Or, if you prefer, you can make a donation toward our “Bless a Child” program and we will do the shopping for you.
We will distribute the gifts on Saturday, December 17th. Come on down if you’d like to help deliver these gifts to the children! So, there are three ways YOU can participate:
- Contact us about “adopting” one or more kids by shopping and purchasing something from their Wish List. Return the gift to us by Dec. 12th.
- Make a donation toward our “Bless a Child” program and we will do the shopping for you.
- Come and join us in San Antonio, Texas on December 17th at 10 AM as we go out in the Blood ‘n Fire neighborhood and deliver these gifts to the kids.
Bless a Child this Christmas, and be a tangible expression of the love Jesus has for these inner city children! Contact us for more information at bnfsa@satx.rr.com. To donate direct go to our website at www.bnfsa.org.
Thank you and may you have a blessed Christmas!

Click to Play: Love Revolution – By Munday Martin
What the world really needs right now from the church is a Love Revolution in the body of Christ. Hear amazing testimonies Munday shares that will amaze you about the love of God he has witnessed around the world for the lost. 1 John 4:19 states that, "We love, because He first loved us." It is in drinking that revelation from the Bible where we will find ourselves immersed in receiving His love by child-like faith, rather than trying to conjure it up in a works-based mentality. Lie down and drink from this awesome message, and be transformed by His limitless love!

We have just returned from 24 glorious hours in the presence of the Lord from TheCall Detroit 11.11.11. Testimonies are streaming in from around the nation giving praise to God for His incredible works that day. Detroit will carry on the surge of prayer and we at TheCall will seek to sustain and rejoice in the relationships that have been built with our dear brothers and sisters there in that great city. But, TheCall marches on.
We have set our face that we will strike, strike and strike again, until abortion is shaken and the nations awaken. Where else will we go, Jesus alone holds the words of life. We are stirred to the core as we trumpet TheCall Global, December 3rd in Southern California. In 2003, YWAM leaders had a divine encounter with the voice of the Lord in a 5 day retreat. He spoke to them about abortion which was not even on their agenda. A word was given that for a billion abortions worldwide God was going to thrust the missions movement into a 2 billion soul harvest; TWO for ONE, one billion abortions, 2 billion souls. What the YWAM leaders did not know at that moment is that they were praying during the 30th Anniversary of Roe v Wade. Satan’s global assault on children coincides with God’s global vision to reap the global harvest for His Son.
At TheCall Global, December 3rd, 12:30 to 8:30 PM thousands will gather to birth in prayer that vision. Missions representatives from nations across the earth will gather to confess the sin of abortion in their own nation and then will take up the challenge to bring TheCall to their nation and pray for their 2 billion soul harvest.
In this historic moment, we will join hands in prayer with one of the revolutionary leaders of Tiennemen Square. From that revolution she fled China, her life under serious threat. She graduated from Harvard and then had a radical conversion to Jesus Christ. She has been apprehended by God with a life commission to challenge the one child policy of horrific injustice in China. We will not let her stand alone. At TheCall we lift up our voice to the One who will challenge the very powers of death in China, Christ the giver of life.
In this Long Beach Civic Arena we will step onto historic ground, revival ground. It was there that Keith Green gave his last concert, preparing to do a worldwide missions tour, but he died. Loren Cunningham of YWAM was there then and he will be with us there now. And we will pick up that mantle that was dropped by Keith Green and carry forth that grand vision of finishing the task; that every tribe and every tongue would be gathered unto Jesus, and His house, a house of prayer for all nations will be brought forth in the earth. We will not cease believing that California’s gift is to bring forth a new Jesus Movement. God doesn’t change His mind on redemptive gifts. California has been the birthing place of these movements for 110 years. Let us gather for TheCall and re-dig those ancient wells.
So again, 8 hours of powerful worship and prayer, TheCall will lay hold of God’s dream in connection with the Global Congress called the Call2All. We will bring together missions leaders from around the globe to strategize for the final push to the nations. For more information go to call2all.org or TheCall.com as we partner for the final push of the parade of history. Register now to ensure a seat.
